Pune University

Savitribai Phule Pune University was launched on 1948 and formerly famous the University of Pune, is a university in Pune in western India. It has been given the highest "A" rating by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) for its overall performance. The university is home to forty-six academic departments. The university had forty-one graduate departments, 433 associated colleges and 232 recognized research institutions, with a registration of 496,531 scholars for undergraduate and graduate courses. The university has at present been rated third in India by the Times Higher Education World University Rankings.
