Shanghai Normal University

Shanghai Normal University or SHNU was set up on 1954, is a famous comprehensive local university with salient characteristics of teacher training and particular strength in liberal arts. The primary undertakings of the university are undergraduate educational activity with the chief aim of producing high level application-oriented talents. SHNU has a registration of 23,743 regular undergraduates, 4,613 graduates, 14,544 night school scholars and 682 long-term overseas scholars. Now the university has seventy-six undergraduate disciplines related to ten fields of study, covering Philosophy, Science, Engineering, Economics, Pedagogy, Literature, Law, History, Management Theory and Agriculture. SHNU has two primary fields of study and twenty-two secondary disciplines for doctoral degree programs, two mobile post doctoral research center and ninety-three Master’s degree programs. SHNU has two primary campuses located in Xuhui Campus and Fengxian Campus.
