The Saurashtra University was launched
on 23 May 1967 in Rajkot city. It is one of the famous significant universities
in Gujarat state in India. The campus of the University is covering 360 acres
of land. It has provided B. Ed & M.
Ed degree programmes various fields in education. Currently colleges in Jamnagar,
Amreli, Rajkot, Junagadh, Porbandar and Surendranagar districts are associated
with the Saurashtra University. It has twenty-eight Post graduate Departments
on its campus and 297 associated colleges.
