Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Science & Technology

Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology or SKUAST was launched in the year 1982. It is famous and most important Agricultural University in the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir. The parent University was called as Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Kashmir (SKUAST-K). It has provided the agricultural education, research and extension education units were transferred to SKUAST from respective development departments namely Animal Husbandry, Agriculture, Sheep Husbandry and Sericulture of Jammu & Kashmir State.
