Shivaji University

Shivaji University was launched on 1962 in Kolhapur, Maharashtra, India. The university's campus is covering 853 land. The jurisdiction of the University is cover three districts namely Kolhapur, Sangli and Satara with strength of almost 3, 00,000 scholars studying in 280 associated colleges and accredited institutes. The University imparts education in ten major faculties of Science, Commerce, Education, Arts, Social Science, Medicine, Fine Arts, Law, Ayurvedic Medicine, Engineering and Technology. It has also launched research fellowships for Ph. D. scholars in the Post-Graduate Departments of the University. The University's movements towards excellence are being recognized through the substantial grants received from funding agencies like University Grants Commission (India), Department of Science and Technology (India), and DBT.
