Periyar University

Periyar University was based on 1997, is a most important university in Salem, Tamil Nadu, India. It is recognized by NAAC with 'A' grade. The university caters to associated colleges under the area comprising the territories of Salem, Namakkal, Dharmapuri and Krishnagiri. A total of eighty-six colleges from four districts of Tamil Nadu are associated with the university. It y has twenty-five teaching and research departments under eight schools. Periyar University sends examination results right away to students through SMS. Periyar University imparts higher education at 3 levels through its Departments of Study and Research, Periyar Institute of Distance Education (PRIDE) and the associated colleges.
