Patna University

Patna University, the 1st university in Bihar, was founded in 1917.  It is the 7th most former university of the Indian subcontinent. The university managed examinations for educational institutions ranging from school finals to the postgraduate degrees. The Patna University has thirty-one postgraduate departments in the faculties of Science, Social Sciences, Humanities, Education, Commerce, Law and ten constituent colleges, apart from Patna Medical College and Patna Dental College. A full-fledged University Works Department is operating at present which is responsible for construction and maintenance of the buildings of the University.
