The Armed Forces Medical College Pune was set up on 1st May 1948 by an act of
parliament of India on the recommendations of the BC Roy Committee. Armed
Forces Medical College is a premier medical institute of Republic of India
recognized as a centre of excellence for education and research. The institute
is presently associated to the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences and is
accepted by the MCI for conducting undergraduate and respective post graduate
