Lalit Narayan Mithila University

The Lalit Narayan Mithila University or LNMU was founded on 1972, is a most famous public university in India. The university carries education in areas such as social science, life science, humanities, commerce and medicine, with both undergraduate and postgraduate courses. The university has forty-three constituent colleges and twenty-five associated colleges besides 2 government colleges – Darbhanga Medical College & Hospital and Rural Institute, Birouli, Samastipur. It has forty-two constituent colleges and seven affiliated colleges are registered under section 2 f and 12(B) of the U.G.C. Act, 1956. The university has a beautiful and lush green campus spread over an area of nearly two hundred thirty acres.
