Magadh University was launched on 1962 by high educationist; it began working from 2nd March 1962 with 2 constituent colleges, thirty-two associated colleges and 7 postgraduate departments. The university has at present developed into a vast institution having twenty-four postgraduate departments, forty-four constituent colleges, and eighty-five associated colleges imparting educational activity. There are nine big hostels on campus having fitting facilities for 1650 students.
