Indian Agricultural Research
Institute or IARI was set up on 1st April 1905 at Pusa (Bihar), is a
most famous India's premier national Institute for agricultural research,
education and extension. It
is credited and work through the Indian Council of Agricultural Research
(ICAR). IARI is normally
known as Pusa Institute. Now
the Institute has twenty divisions five multi-disciplinary Centres located in
Delhi, eight regional stations, two off-season nurseries. It has three All
India co-ordinated research projects with central office at IARI and ten
national Centres operating under the all India coordinated research projects. Indian
Agricultural Research Institute offers various undergraduate, graduate and
postgraduate degree programs in Agricultural study fields.
