Beijing International Studies
University or BISU was set up on 1964, is a famous institution of educational
activity of multi-disciplines. BISU is settled in Chaoyang District, Beijing.
It provided degree in subjects and courses of disciplines of liberal arts,
management, tourism management, literature, economics, and law. Now, BISU has almost
10,000 registered scholars, including 6,100 undergrad scholars, 1,300 graduate
students and 1,000 outside scholars. BISU has a Joint PhD in translation with
Binghamton University-the State University of New York, a Joint PhD in tourism
with Griffith University in Australia, and a post-doctoral research station
(co-founded with Social Sciences Academic Press). It is coordinated into sixteen
Schools, seven departments and three supporting units. Now, BISU offers thirteen
primary fields of study in twenty-eight undergraduate majors, four primary
disciplines and twenty-two secondary disciplines have been authoritative to
confer Master’s degrees. It also offers five professional Master’s degree
programs.
