The West Bengal University of
Animal & Fishery Sciences was founded on 2 Jan 1995 through a Legislative
Act (West Bengal University of Animal & Fishery Science Act-VI, 1995). It
was the 2nd most former veterinary college in the nation. Earlier this,
veterinary education in the state was impacted through Bengal Veterinary
College, a main famous institution of the nation which was founded on 1893. The
college was united with Bidhan Chandra Krishi Vishwavidyalaya in Mohanpur,
district Nadia, as the Faculty of Veterinary and Animal Sciences on 1974. West Bengal University of Animal and
Fishery Sciences offered following degree programmse in Animal and Fishery Sciences.
