Orissa University of Agriculture
and Technology or OUAT was founded in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, India on 1962. The
university objectives are supply quality education in agricultural science and
technology. It is the 2nd most former agricultural university in the nation.
The University has developed with 8 colleges and 1 Centre for Post-Graduate
studies with annual intake capacity of 1342 scholars. The University has strengthened
its research and wing base by launching 8 Zonal Research Stations, four Zonal
Sub-stations, 7 Commodity Research Stations and thirteen Adaptive Research
Stations spread over the state/ along with forty-eight All India Coordinated
Research Projects. Also more than forty-one National Agricultural Technology
Projects are in operation.
