Madurai Kamaraj University or MKU
was launched in 1966, is a most famous public university in India settled in
Madurai city in southern Tamil Nadu, India. It is on its relentless journey for
the past forty-eight years surmounting hurdles of indigenous and exotic nature
on its way and has moved through the tests of accreditation towards reaching
the position of excellence. The Madurai Kamaraj University provides forty-one
post graduates, thirty-five M.Phil and seventeen Diploma / P.G. Diploma /
Certificate courses in the respective departments. Presently, sixty-six U.G.
and forty-five P.G. courses are provided in the affiliated Colleges. Now 2428 scholars
and research scholars are on the roll. Presently more than hundred sixty-three
individual research projects are being carried out with an outlay exceeding thirty-four
Crores.
