Karnataka State Open University
was officially founded on 1st June 1996. It is a distance learning
university settled in Mysore, Karnataka, India. The aims of introducing and pushing
the system of open university and educational activity in the state of
Karnataka, and coordinating and determining the standard of such a system in
the state. It now provides wide-ranging programmes leading to degrees from the
graduate degree to the doctoral level and also provides a variety of diploma
