Kannada University was founded in
1991; also at once time as Hampi Kannada University or Hampi University,
Kannada University, Hampi is a research oriented Public University in Hampi,
Karnataka, through the Government of Karnataka through Kannada University Act,
1991. Kannada University is settled near Hampi, an historical place. Hampi is
the treasure house of Indian architecture and has been accepted through UNESCO
as a World Heritage Center. The present campus of Kannada University spans a
hilly terrain of seven hundred acres located amidst a natural forest and
beautiful lake. All the departments provide M.Phil and Ph.D in their area.
D.Lit. Program is designed to offer space for extra-ordinary scholars.
