The Chandra Shekhar Azad
University of Agriculture & Technology, Kanpur is accepted nowadays as the main
institution of agricultural research and education in India. It goes back to
1893 when a small school was begun to impart training. The University was made
with the merger of its 2 constituent colleges, the erstwhile Government
Agriculture College, Kanpur and Uttar Pradesh College of Veterinary Science
& Animal Husbandry, Mathura. It offered UG, PG and PhD Degree Course areas
in Agriculture & Technology.
