South-Central University for Nationalities

South-Central University for Nationalities or SCUN or SCUEC was set up on 1951, is most significant national university settled in Hubei province's capital Wuhan. It became a university co-supported through the State of Ethnic Affairs and the Municipal Government of Wuhan.  SCUN is devoted to innovation in higher education for ethnic groups and thus has reached a rapid and comprehensive growth. The SCUN library has a collection of 2.8 million volumes of books. It has provided sixty-eight Undergraduate majors, nineteen research-oriented MA program (Category I discipline), seventy-two research-oriented MA program (Category II discipline), ten Professional master's degree program, one PhD program (Category I discipline) and five PhD program (Category II discipline). It got ahead the title “Model Institute” granted through the State of Ethnic Affairs.
