The LBS Centre for Science and Technology is famous now LBSCS – Thiruvananthapuram and it is the premier institute of computer education and consultancy, registered under the Travancore-Cochin Literary, Technological and Charitable Societies Registration Act XII of 1955 was founded through Government of Kerala on 1976. LBS Centre was begun through the Government of Kerala as an Independent body with the main targets that the Centre would act as a link between the industries and technical institutions so as to benefit society through their mutual interactions. It is an accredited research field of study Centre of Kerala University ahead to the award of Ph.D. A few students are already getting use of the facilities of the Centre for their research programmes under the University of Kerala.
