The Utkal University launched on 1943. It is the seventeenth University of the nation and the 1st of Orissa province. The Utkal University began working at Ravenshaw College, Cuttack. It was in the first place an associating and examining body only. The University changed to its now campus spread over four hundred acres of land at Vanivihar in Bhubaneswar on 1962. The Utkal University is NAAC Recognized on 2004 with B++ position with a score little over 80%. It University is accredited by the UGC. Utkal University DDCE is a constituent institution of the Utkal University founded with the target of offering quality education to the vast majority of functioning and adult learners and continuing education to all departments of the society through Distance and/or Continuing Education mode.
