Karnataka
State Open University was set up on 1st June 1996, is famous open &
distance learning university in south India. It is settled in
Manasagangotri, Mysore. It main aims of bringing in and encouraging the system
of open university and distance learning in the state of Karnataka, and organizing
& determining the standard of such a system in the state. The
aim is to allow education to people who cannot attend regular or part-time
educational courses provided by universities. Nowadays
commands a careening strength of over 40,000 scholars from all over India. It
functions through thirteen departments managed by fifty-seven well-qualified
