University of Jaffna or UoJ was set up on 1st August
1974, is a famous public university. It is settled in Jaffna in Sri Lanka.
It has two campuses first the
primary campus in Thirunelvely in Jaffna and a second campus settled in
Vavuniya. The scholar
population of the university is approximately 7000. This lets in about 6200
internal students in the primary campus, about 500 postgraduate scholars and
about 350 of the Vavuniya campus. The
Faculty of Technology was launched in 2016. The faculty provides courses in
engineering technology and bio technology. University of Jaffna has offered undergraduate
and post graduate degree programs in following faculties.
