The Assam Higher
Secondary Education Council was founded on 1st of June, 1984 to determine,
supervise and develop the system of higher secondary education (12th stage) in
the State of Assam. It powers and functions to order curricula (scheme of studies),
course of study and courses of instruction for higher secondary level which may
be in a college / higher secondary school.
