Southwest University of Political
Science and Law or SWUPL was set up on 1953, as a Southwest College of
Political Science and Law. It is a national public university settled in
Chongqing, China. Its law school places sixth among all the law schools in
China. The University has 3 campuses, the primary in Yubei, the other two in
Shapingba and Baoshenghu. It provides twenty bachelor’s programs, thirty-seven
master’s programs of sub-fields of study, four professional master’s programs
and ten doctoral programs of sub-discipline, and two national key disciplines.
The University has postdoctoral center for legal research and six provincial
key bases for humanity and social science research. There are fourteen schools.
SWUPL has international exchange programs with over sixty universities.
