North China Electric Power
University or NCEPU was set up on 1958, as Beijing Electric Power College. It
is associated with the Ministry of Education of China. The primary campus is settled
in Beijing, and it has a branch campus in Baoding, Hebei Province. It is formally
named as one of the Project 211 universities as well as a "Predominant
Discipline Innovation Platform". It is as one of the most important key
universities in China with a history of more than forty years, this university
has been raising talents in the areas of engineering, economics, technology, management,
and the social sciences. It provided fifty-eight undergraduate majors degree.
The university has 2 national key subjects (Power System and Automation, and
Thermal Power Engineering), twenty-three provincial key fields of study, five
centers for post-doctoral studies, five fist-level fields of study and thirty
second-level disciplines authorized to offer Ph.D. Degree, and twenty-three
first-level disciplines and 123 second-level fields of study authorized to
offer Master Degree. It also offered degree in Mater of Business Administration
(MBA) and Master of Engineering.
