China University of Mining and
Technology was set up on 1909, is placed as the best mining university in China
and has a global reputation in coal mining technology and researching. It is a
national famous key university under the guide supervision of the Ministry of
Education of China. It is member of Project 211 and Project 985 platform (in
terms of mining) university of China. Presently CUMT-Beijing consists of one
graduate school and eleven academic schools. It also has one 1st-grade national
key field of study, eight national key disciplines, one national key cultivated
discipline and nine provincial key fields of study; sixteen first-grade
disciplines conferring Doctor Degrees, thirty-five first-grade disciplines
conferring Master Degrees, sixty-nine second-grade fields of study conferring
Doctor Degrees, hundred seventy-three second-grade disciplines conferring
Master Degrees, nine professional degree authorization stations for Master
Degree, sixty specialties for undergraduates.
