Thiruvallauvar University was founded
on 2002, it is a primary public university in the city of Vellore, Tamil Nadu.
The university was called after the Tamil poet and philosopher Thiruvalluvar.
It is a member of the association of Indian Universities (A.I.U). The objective
of this University is to offer facilities for advancement in Research and
dissemination of Knowledge with center on the Economic and Social upliftment of
the society. The campus has divide administrative block, academic and computer
science blocks, and a library. The Thiruvalluvar Institution of Distance
Education (TIDE) of Thiruvalluvar University has being from the academic year
2011-12. It has ninety-eight arts and Science College is associated to this
university.
