Kumaun University was founded on 1973.
It is a state university headquartered in Nainital, Uttarakhand, India. Kumaun
University has been granted 4 Stars position by the National Assessment and
Accreditation Council (NAAC). The full area covered through the university thus
far is an impressive one hundred sixty acres. The university is famous known
for its research and teaching in Forestry, Geology, Ecology, Economics and
Management, Particle Physics and Chemistry as well as boasts of respective
centres that provide interesting research. The primary aim of the University
has been to let in the courses which are relevant and facilitate the scholars
in developing skills for easy job access.
