Konkan Krishi Vidyapeeth

Dr. Balasaheb Sawant Konkan Krishi Vidyapeeth was launched on 18 May 1972. It is most famous an agricultural university at Dapoli in Ratnagiri zone of the Indian state of Maharashtra. The university was called as Dr. Balasaheb Sawant Konkan Krishi Vidyapeeth, Dapoli on 12th Feb 2001. It aim to allow for education in agriculture and allied sciences through integrating and coordinating educational activity in different faculties and examine the scholars, confer degrees, diplomas, certificates and other academic distinctions. The university accomplishes extensive research related to rice, fruits, horticulture, fisheries and agricultural technology. It has fifteen off-campus research stations during the Konkan region.
