Karnataka University

Karnatak University was launched in October 1949 at Dharwad in the Indian state of Karnataka. The university was accredited with the "Potential for Excellence" by the University Grants Commission. There are forty-seven PG Departments, two hundred twenty-four teachers and 4500 scholars (PG, M.Phil., Ph.D.). There are five constituent colleges providing UG and PG courses in science, arts, commerce, fine arts, law and education. The University offers wide options ad choices fifty PG Courses, four advanced diplomas and twenty-eight diplomas, eleven certificate courses, twenty-six M.Phil., and forty-two Ph.D. programmes.
