Anna University of Technology (State University)
was founded on 4 September 1978 and is a technical university in Tamil
Nadu, Republic of India.
It has satellite campuses in Coimbatore, Tiruchirappalli, Madurai and
Tirunelveli. The university provides
respective courses in engineering and technology through its associated
colleges and follows a dual semester system. Tamil Nadu Professional Courses
Entrance Examination (TNPC EE) was used as a basis for admission to
professional courses in the state.
