Anna University, Guindy was founded on 4th Sept 1978 as a unitary type of University. It is of the associated type is a member of the Association of Indian Universities. It provides higher education in Engineering, Technology and allied Sciences relevant to the flow and projected needs of the society. It aims besides pushing research and disseminating knowledge gained there from.
