Alagappa University was founded on 1985, is accepted by the UGC, Government of India. Alagappa University Reached with 'A' Grade by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). The University provides education done Regular, Week-end, Distance and Collaborative modes. The University's slogan is "Excellence in Action". The University has twenty-nine Departments, six Centres and two Constituent Colleges on its campus. It has thirty-five Affiliated Colleges, one Independent College.
