The Radio Astronomy Centre (RAC) is most important division of the National Centre for Radio Astrophysics of the fully known Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR). Radio Astronomy Centre (RAC) is set up through the Govt. of India via the Department of Atomic Energy. The RAC is located near Udhagamandalam (Ooty) in the lovely environment of the Nilgiri Hills.
