Gas Authority of India limited (GAIL) was set up on 1984 and it was called GAIL (India) Limited on twenty-second November 2002. It got the coveted MoU Excellence Honor in Petroleum Sector for year 09-10 through Prime Minister of India Dr. Manmohan Singh on 31st January 2012. It is a one of the famous India's leading PSE Company. It has given a profit of Indian rupee 227.8 crore to the Govt. for 2000-01. The Company also realized the globe’s beigest & India's first cross country LPG Pipeline. It always encourages the green & fresh energy concept & utilize of natural gas as energy source. It was established northern India's only petrochemical plant at Pata on 1999.

GAILTEL – GAILTEL is the most important telecom branch of GAIL (INDIA) Limited, which primarily caters to GAIL's internal Telecom necessities apart from commercially providing the Telecom services to private players. Presently, it operates under three telecom permits - IP-I, IP-II and ISP-A.
