Hindustan Aeronautics Limited, Barrackpore Division was launched as a Repair Base on 1940 during World War II under the call of Tata Aviation. It division is settled at Barrackpore, District North 24 Parganas, Kolkata. It is required in maintenance, repair and modernize of Cheetah & Chetak Helicopters. Barrackpore Factory was specified as a Division in Oct 2006 and it became a division of Helicopter Complex in June, 2009. It employs almost four hundred highly skilled personnel for disassembly, repair & modernize assembly, flight preparation & flight testing of Cheetah and Chetak Helicopters and Rotables.
