The University of
Calicut was set up on 1968, is an associating university settled at Thenjipalam
in Malappuram district of Kerala state in India. The primary campus in
Thenjipalam has departments in most of the science and humanities areas. The
Calicut University Library was instituted in 1971. Pareeksha Bhavan, the branch
of the university that oversees the carryon of examinations in over two hundred
fifty associated colleges, and which awards degrees, is the biggest wing of the
university. The university had particularly strong faculty in MBA, Physics,
History, Malayalam, English Zoology, Chemistry, Botany, and Physical Education.
