Yanbian University was set up on
1949, is one of the renowned key
universities of the People's Republic of China. It is key part institution defended by
the State“211Project. It
consists of twelve colleges which provide sixty-three programs for Bachelor’s
degree, forty-eight programs for the Master’s degree, and four programs for the
Doctoral degree. The university is enrolling students from twenty-nine
provinces and independent regions. The
university provides eleven programs in economics, philosophy, engineering,
agriculture, law, pedagogy, literature, history, science, medicine and
management. At present Yanbian University have 16,413 scholars, letting in
10,599 undergraduates, 712 postgraduates, forty-four doctoral candidates, 384
foreign scholars and 4,674 adult scholars.
