Northeast Forestry University or
NEFU was set up on 1952, is settled in the city of Harbin, the center of the
region with China's biggest state-owned forests. It is member of "211
Project" and institution of educational activity and research under jurisdiction
of the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China. NEFU is currently
a multidisciplinary university with forestry as its running field and provides
a unique specialization in forestry engineering. There are at present more than
28,000 scholars of respective backgrounds in NEFU. NEFU has also offered
programs in forestry-related aspects of agriculture, economy, engineering,
management, science, liberal arts and law. There are 5 post-doctoral scientific
research programs, 45 level and 32 second-level doctoral degree programs. There
are also 10 first-level, 75 second-level master's degree programs, 3 types of
special discipline master's degree programs in nine fields and 57 undergraduate
programs.
