China Medical University (CMU)
was launched as China Medical College on 6th June 1958 and
transformed itself into China Medical University in 2003. The CMU was the 1st
medical school founded through the Chinese Communist Party. CMU has three large
and modern associated hospitals, where students can do internship in the final
year. CMU includes seven colleges where western medicine, Chinese medicine,
pharmacy (letting in Chinese herbs), health care (letting in nursing), life
sciences, management, and public health educational, research and practice
programs are offered. The China University Hospital has been accredited as one
of the nation’s lead medical centers through attaining an A-level evaluation as
a teaching hospital.
