Yale College Calendar

Yale College has announced 2012–2013 Provisional Academic Calendars and it is also available online on Yale College office website. Interested candidate may get information admission, application forms, secretion process and any more online on Yale College Official website. It was set up on 1718 to 1887 and at time name is Yale University. Each under-graduate scholar is assigned to one of twelve residential colleges and it would appropriate the school to increase enrollment by about fifteen percent to about 6 thousand.  The name at present refers to the under-graduate constituent of the university. Yale College Calendar Freshman Preorientation Dates 2012-2013

18^th August – Cultural Connections program begins

18^th August – FOOT 6-day program begins

19^th August – Harvest program begins

20^th August – FOOT 4-day program begins

20^th August – Orientation for International Students begins

24^th August – Freshman residences open and freshman orientation begins, 9 a.m

Fall 2012

22^nd August – Residences open to upperclassmen, 9 AM

24^th August – Residences open to freshmen, 9 AM

28^th August – Upperclass registration

29^th August – Fall-term classes begin, 8.20 a.m.

31^st August – Friday classes do not meet; Monday classes meet instead

3^rd September – Labor Day; Classes do not meet

23^rd October – October recess begins, 5.30 p.m.

29^th October – Classes resume, 8.20 a.m.

16^th November – November recess begins, 5.30 p.m.

26^th November – Classes resume, 8.20 a.m.

7^th December – Classes end, 5.30 p.m.; Reading Period begins

13^th December – Final examinations begin, 9 a.m.

18^th December – Examinations end, 5.30 p.m.; winter recess begins

19^th December – Undergraduate residences close, 12 noon

Spring 2013

9^th January – Undergraduate residences open

14^th January – spring term classes begin, 8.20 a.m

18^th January – Friday classes do not meet; Monday classes meet instead

21^st January – Martin Luther King, Jr., Day, Classes do not meet

8^th March – spring recess begins, 5.30 p.m.

25^th March – Classes resume, 8.20 a.m.

26^th April – Classes end, 5.30 p.m.; Reading Period begins

2^nd May – Final examinations begin, 9 a.m.

7^th May – Examinations end, 5.30 p.m.

8^th May – Residences close, 12 noon, for freshmen, sophomores, and juniors

20^th May – University Commencement

21^st May – Residences close, 12 noon, for seniors

28^th August – fall term 2013 classes begin
